The takeaways
If your community interest initiative (or similar) is struggling to find focus, define responsibilities, or articulate the value you are trying to create, I can help with tailored interactive, highly structured workshops that will produce actionable outcomes. In the workshops, we employ a variety of exercises, prompts to provoke creative thinking, visual aides, and other workshopping methodologies. I have years of experience in designing and running workshops for both in person and online contexts, for the latter using tools like Mural or Miro.
The outputs from the workshop vary depending on your needs, but they can range from service design blueprints that help map processes, stakeholders, and responsibilities, to ecosystem maps that help identify the broader systems around what you are building, and onwards to foresighting tools such as causal layered analysis that helps in reframing the narrative of your organisation or project towards the ends you are striving for.
Unlocking the crisis in imagining otherwise
My motivation to offer these kinds of workshops on a voluntary basis stems from wanting to lend my vast experience to community-led projects that seek to reimagine the current ways of doing things; to steer away from the ways of modernity that have generated disconnection, inequality, ecological devastation, and lack of care for both the human and more-than-human worlds. For more context, please see my newsletter or the selected writings here on the site.
My undesign thinking offering is highly similar in spirit and offers a particular example of a more thorough approach to rethink extractive and profit-seeking premises.
Send me a note expressing your interest and we can schedule a conversation about your needs!
